Description

The AccuBanker AB5800 is a bank-grade bill counter suitable for counting both paper and polymer bills, such as USD, CAD, MXN, and many more. Its heavy-duty construction and 1,800 bill per minute counting speed make it ideal for fast-paced, high-volume businesses.

The AB5800's value-adding calculator allows the user to obtain the total value of a selected denomination, and then the grand total of all denominations counted (denominations must be sorted before counting). The user can keep track of the count on the unit’s LCD display, or through optional printed reports (MP20 Report Printer sold separately). The machine notifies the user with visual and audible alerts whenever double bills, suspiciously sized bills or chained bills are detected.

The AB5800 comes standard with integrated counterfeit detection systems. The AB5800 alerts the user of suspicious bills with an audio and visual alert, as well as on-screen error codes - Ultraviolet (UV), Magnetic Ink (MG), and Dimension Detection (DD).

The AB5800 is compatible with the AccuBanker MP20 Report Printer. This optional feature allows the user to print detailed reports to keep track of counts with ease (printer sold separately).

  • Three counterfeit detection methods: Ultraviolet (UV), Magnetic Ink (MG) and Dimension Detection (DD)
  • Count up to 1,800 bills per minute
  • Built-In value calculator adds the total value of pieces counted per denomination

3 of 5 Maybe too powerful Friday, August 21, 2020

When it arrived, we were extremely excited, I won't lie, it's not easy to follow along with instructions, they are very all over the place and a bit complex, so I tried watching a video, still didn't answer a few of the questions I had. We tried putting a stack of hundreds in there and it tore a few right down the middle, so I checked the speed and slowed it down in hopes that it would fix the issue, but it did it again until finally it stopped. Unfortunately, this machine only counts stacks of 1- solid denomination, so $100s, $5s, etc - you can't mix and match, so make sure you separate all denominations and have them in designated stacks before counting. I also realized that when in manual setting the counter gives you the total sum, but when in automatic setting, it doesn't, kinda strange. I gave it 3 stars for its complexity and for tearing my $100's in half and for not having the ability to do other things as well. For paying $300 plus, better to purchase something a bit more simplified.
